Whoops…

The good…
Had my WW meeting this morning because I decided to deal with my anxiety issues and drive there myself to see if I could drive to the WW meeting location at an unfamiliar time and by myself (as opposed to hubby and kiddo dropping me off). I made it there in plenty of time to get weighed in and get a seat (which is good because apparently this particular meeting time is *packed*).

The not so good…
I gained this week. 3 lbs. However, that being said, this was the first week since I first started going to meetings back on March 15th that I gained, so I’m not going to kick myself over it. I’m going to focus more on making sure that I log everything I’m eating to make sure that I’m eating all of my points as well as keep an eye on what I’m eating.

Ooh… FYI for my friends who like sweet potatoes and Chick-fil-A

I just got an e-mail from Chick-fil-A saying that May 13th is Free Sweet Potato FryDay! Not sure if it’s at all locations, but at the one nearest to me, between the hours of 3-6pm they’re giving away a free medium order of their new Sweet Potato Waffle Fries for people who mention they’re there to give them a try!

I’ll admit to not being a big fan of sweet potatoes but for that price I’m willing to at least give them a shot ;)

Ok, so I’ve seriously been slacking on posting, whoops! *blushes*

So far I’m down 11.4 lbs since I started Weight Watchers meetings :)

Sure, there’s people who lose weight faster, but since so far the main change I’ve been making is just eating more -aka- making sure to eat as many of my daily points as I can, I’m pleased with the results so far :D

I’m enjoying the new meeting location even though it’s a little further away from me. I started my meetings off going to a location that only offered one meeting time option a week but for my last two meetings I decided to check out the ‘permanent’ WW location near Mall of Georgia and I’ve been liking having more meeting options should a scheduling conflict occur as well as just the location in general has friendly staff and decent-sized meeting groups with people of all ages and weight situations.

Not the way I wanted to spend the weekend of Easter/before my birthday >.<

On Monday I went to the Zoo as a chaperone for my daughter’s kindergarten class’ field trip. I was able to keep up with my daughter + the 1 other kid in my group (10 parents + 18 groups = interesting group combination but yay for small groups at least, lol) without any problem at the zoo and could tell that I was breathing harder but wasn’t sweating for overexerting myself. :)

The downside is that by Wednesday I was running a slight fever, was having trouble swallowing, and just generally feeling like crap. On Thursday night I slept maybe 2 hours combined all night because of still having difficulty swallowing and my throat feeling puffy. On Friday I was able to get a doctor’s appointment and tested positive for strep and found out that I definitely had inflamed tonsils (ick) which explained why it felt like I had stalagmites in the back of my mouth >.< She prescribed me some antibiotics for the strep and gave me a steroid shot for my tonsils. On the downside it means I’m stuck in the house all weekend, but on the upside thanks to the shot I was able to breathe and swallow better by last night so yay for being able to get some actual sleep last night for the most part :)

On the recommendation of somebody on Facebook I’m doing some research into Leslie Sansone DVDs so any input would be appreciated for a beginner! :D

Not too shabby even if I did have to miss the WW meeting last week :)

When I made it to my meeting this week on 4/5 (thankfully feeling *much* better than last week), I was *very* relieved to find out that I had lost weight since my last weigh-in. I know that from the way I’d been feeling, tracking points was the last thing on my mind, *but* I had still made a point of trying to remember to actually eat breakfast and lunch which I think might have been my saving grace, lol.

At that weigh-in i was down 2.8 lbs since my previous weigh-in on 3/22 :)

Be gone allergies!

I missed my WW weigh-in last night because I’ve been a bit under the weather from allergies over the past couple of days. I’m hoping to catch another local meeting later this week, but if not, I can still get the weekly booklet from the meeting where I’ve been going when I attend next week.

On the bright side, I made an appointment for my husband get his haircut last night, so at least we know one of us definitely lost weight…he had to have lost a few pounds by the time he finished at the salon just from hair, lol! ;)

Bright side #2 – the new Hungry Girl book is supposed to be arriving at my house today, looking forward to sitting down and checking it out! :)
